Trapper’s Package (winter)

Multi-package activities including initiation to snowmobiling, dog sledding (each guide has his own sled), snowshoeing to discover the Saguenay Fjord and spend a night in one of our cottages on the Fjord, ice fishing in the hopes of catching your meal, priviledges contact with our arctic wolves, Maya and Kodiac. Observation of seals, and let’s not forget the visit of the sugar shack, and other activities.

The Package Includes :
Activites and full accommodation (regional cooking meals), transportation on the site and Nordic clothing, if necessary.

Not Included :
Insurance : sickness, cancellation, accident franchise, damaged equipment, alcoholic beverages and all other activities or options not included in our program.

Program Example :

 

Day 1 : Welcome
Welcome with country supper and revision of the program with guides; night of rest.

Day 2 : Encounter with the trapper
Morning  : Update and guided visit of the domestic and wild animals, buffalo, deer, wolves, sugar shack, a taste of maple toffee on snow.
Afternoon : Encounter with the very passionate forest trapper. Initiation to snowshoeing in order to visit the beaver damn.

Day 3 : Discovery of the Saguenay Fjord on snowshoes
Discover the Fjord via showshoes, including breakfast (dinner) on a campfire.

Day 4 : Dog sledding and ice fishing
Morning  : Dog sledding circuit (each guide has his own sled)
Afternoon  : Ice fishing, cross-country skiing, sliding … like in the old days

Day 5 : Snowmobile circuit and contact with the arctic wolves
Morning  : The ‘’wolf’’ – its myths, its life-style, its mysteries. Priviledges contacts.

Day 6 : Seal observation
Morning  : Free activities with the possibility of visiting the village of Tadoussac, on the St-Lawrence and its seals. (activities not included)

Day 7 : Departure after breakfast
